every
tooth in the mouth has in outer layer enamel outer inner
layer dentin inner layer the pulp chamber or nerve
chamber consists of the blood, nerve, and nutrient,
which keeps the tooth alive and healthy. there are
times when the pulp chamber or nerve chamber dies, which
causes the tooth to be inflamed, angry and infected.
the causes of a tooth’s nerve to die is many but the
underlying cause is trauma to the tooth. this trauma
can consists of: jarring the tooth in the tooth socket
as the result of a fall, fracturing the tooth, or deep
decay. an angry inflamed nerve can be range from no
pain to excruciating pain. a dying nerve in the
beginning stages of the tooth is sometimes not painful
at first but will always result in a painful infection
and abscess later. get treatment as soon as possible.
the procedure consists of completely anesthetizing the
tooth; removing the pulp, nerve, and blood vessel
through a small opening at the top of the tooth. in the
absence of the nerve, pulp, and blood vessel, a
synthetic plastic materials is place to preserve and
heal the tooth and a permanent restoration (crown) will
be needed to keep the weak tooth strong enough to
function to eat. |
